Surviving Aircraft. 67-17238
Sir,
My shop is in the process of rebuilding Huey 67-17238. We will put this girl back in the sky early in 2020. I have been told that she was Long Knife 21 in Vietnam.
I am looking for pictures, stories, any information to back this up. I have spoken to a gentleman named David Riley, he says that he was one of the CE’s on this aircraft.
As you can see from the pictures, one is from Vietnam, the other is in my hanger in Olympia, Washington.
Any information that you can provide would be Awesome.
I will also keep you informed as to where this helicopter goes.
This UH-1H will be flying again somewhere around the middle of January.
The Aircraft has a current total time of 8205.7 and is all painted up in D Troop 3/5 Cav colors as Long Knife 21, Bastard Cav.
