Friday Night's Dinner

Roll was Friday evening's MC He began the festivities by
introducing his co-host and some guests of honor.

As we honored the 50th anniversary of the Troop's
deployment to Vietnam we recognized the Troop's first
commanding officer Bill Kaler and his wife Shirley.

recognized the FNGs. First time attendees.

On Friday
Morning the Troop held a Golf Tournament. Organized this
year by Fred Lechner
There are actually two Light Horse Tournaments held each
year.
There is one in the Fall in Kentucky at Bull Frog's
"Veterans Get Together."

It
is traditional to have the Tournament organizer to tally
the scores and call upon the losing team to blow the
Troop Bugle
and to have their names added to the list which is kept
on the horn.
Fred Lechner read the
scores and announced this year's musical
performers.
Midget
spent so much time in traps he was given a
"commemorative" bag of sand.
To all our delight, Tom Tolar and Midget
demonstrated their musical talent.
Moving right along.
Dinner was announced and everyone got in line for the
buffet.

After dinner, Rick talked about the
Troop Coffee cups the Max Bradley had made and were for
sale.
Then Rick invited a couple of fellows who wished to say
a few words to the Troop.
LRRP and Doughboy leader Rick Stetson told us about
his tour with D Troop
Manuel Rico talked about his activities in Senior
Olympics. We wished him luck in upcoming event.
