A note from CE Mike Hedges: I'd recognize him anywhere because while flying Trail, I once pulled his gunner, Rene Garneau, from their burning ship when they were downed, threw him over my shoulder and dumped him in the back of our bird (his leg was hit pretty bad), and my pilot (I still can't remember who I was flying with at the time) guided Ray back to our ship.
They were both blinded by burning CS & smoke from their grenade rack, which was hit with shrapnel, and Ray was stumbling around and about to walk into his own tail rotor. I think the C&C later blew up their ship with the .50 cal.
