Long Knife Crewchief Joseph Fonte Personal Photo Album Page 1
Webmaster's note: I received some 300 photos in my email inbox in 2014
during a particularly tumultuous time. I saved them to a
"memory stick" and basically forgot about them. I recently came across the photos and emailed the
sender only to find the email account had been closed. Some research determined that Joe had passed away in
December 2011. I have whittled the 300 pix down to just over 200. Joe Fonte was a plank holder. As a Long Knife
crewchief, he was with the group that ferried helicopters to
California for shipment to Vietnam. I hope these pictures will bring back some good
memories for you and if you can identify any of the guys or
locations in the photos please let me know the photo number
and I will make the additions. Callison

I don't know if this was a D Troop D Model. That is an
interesting insignia on the vertical fin.
