Ahyes! The good old days.
We could fly first class without having to check our weapons or being
searched by a TSA agent.
Before
TET 1968 in Bear Cat
When
I first got to Nam, I was assigned to a chopper on an LST with the
Mobile Riverine Force in the Delta.
I was OK with that until I learned
that an LST was nothing more than a floating ammo dump.
Since we were
shot at daily, I decided that a transfer was in order and I went to D
Troop on the first week of February.
Just in time for the TET
offensive.
None to soon though because I understand that the Mobile
Riverine Force took a real beating during TET.
Of course, D Troop did
as well
