Sonny sez; I flew wing for Sam for 6 months before I got my own fire team. He was and still is one of my best friends. Sam was a great pilot, great leader and was not afraid to get down and dirty when it came to gun fights. In fact, Sam developed a number of tactics that we used in the Crusader gun platoon.
