Troopers,
We are now in the home stretch for the Lighthorse Nashville Reunion and there are several items that we
need to address going forward. Mike Howard, who has been running point on this reunion is negotiating with
the General Jackson Riverboat, Dinner Show Cruise. Mike has a threshold number he needs to hit for the best
discount, which is 60 heads for the $85.00 rate. I ask that you respond to me ASAP with your request for
reservations for the General Jackson.
Presently I am working on the Grand Ole Opry for Saturday evening September 16 th . The final list of acts
performing that evening is not yet fulfilled. Currently it shows Gary Mule Deer a country comedian and the
Mark Willis Band, but as I said the show bill in not completed yet. I expect that in the next 2 to 3 weeks it will
fill out and I will put that info out. I do need a head count for The Opry to negotiate with so again let me know
ASAP who’s coming.
A persistent problem with reunions is transportation, for those of you who attended Nashville 2018 we
carpooled and used Uber and likewise at Mt. Pleasant last September. I need to pole the Troop for how many
of us are driving in or renting a vehicle in Nashville, so that I may determine the feasibility of carpooling or do
we need motor coach transportation.
The downtown Franklin Hop Off is available Tuesday – Friday.  The HOP ON HOP OFF trolley costs $39.00 for
an adult and $29 for kids ages 4 to 11. Those troopers interested would pick up the tour from the downtown
Visitors Center. The tour is narrated and has 5 stops. The best way to get to downtown Franklin is now UBER;
one-way prices range from $10 to $20 depending on whether you take UBER X or UBER XL, not a bad cost.
This still leaves us trying to figure out transportation for the Grand Ole Opry and The General Jackson both
venues are up the road a piece in Nashville.

As an example of Motor Coach cost see the following.
Franklin to Grand Ole Opry Motor Coach based on 56 seats, round trip $31.00 per head $62.00 per couple. The
numbers are about the same for General Jackson. So we have some tough decisions to make for
transportation, your quick response is appreciated, please let us know if you prefer to have transportation
provided.
In closing let me recap what we need.
1. Who will be attending the General Jackson Dinner Cruise and Show.
2. Who will be attending the Grand Ole Opry.
3. Who would prefer Motor Coach transportation to both the previously mentioned venues.
Please do not procrastinate on this we need answers ASAP.
Following see the list of Troopers and Guests attending. This list is compiled from the Marriotts list and
Troopers who have confirmed with me. I am quite sure that there is a half dozen or more who have registered
and didn’t tell the hotel they were with Lighthorse. Those of you who aren’t on the list let me know or you
won’t get an official name tag.
