Stephen Jones
September 2018

Cobra Pilot June 70 to June 71
It is with deep regret that I must inform you of the passing of Stephen Jones on Sunday, September 2, 2018 as a result of his prolonged battle with ALS--Lou Gehrig's Disease.
Stephen joined C Troop 3rd Squadron 17th Cavalry in June of 1970 which was later reconstituted as D Troop 3rd Squadron 5th Cavalry on February 1, 1971 where he served until his departure in June 1971.
During his tour in RVN, he was a Cobra Pilot, a Cobra Platoon Leader, and Operations Officer.
After his retirement as a Lieutenant Colonel, Stephen studied chiropractic medicine and was a practicing physician until he retired awhile back.
Stephen was a true brother and will be sorely missed.
