I flew guns and scouts in "D" troop in KS & Vietnam in '66 & '67.  I'm
trying to find my former crew chief & door gunner (UH-1C), Foster &
Derden, who crewed my gunship in early '67.  Do you keep a roster of
members and/or do you help those searching for fellow troopers?

Thanks &  best regards,

Subject: Need Help
I need help in fighting the VA.
My husband died Oct.6th 2002, from Liver Cancer Endstage Cirrosis, resulting from Hepatitis C.
VA says it is not a service connected disability.
They finally gave him 30% PTSD 12 days after he passed away.
I have been told since he did get a service connected disability that I could persue the Hep.C claim.
My husbands name was Francis C. Minard.
He was with 3/5Cav D Troop from the time he was at Ft.Riley Kansas until he went to Nam in Feb.67.
He was a Doorgunner for 13 months until March 68. He then went into supply until Oct.68.
VA wants events that can relate blood to blood contact while in the service.
Thank You,
Frances Bruno - Minard. (Fran)
P.S.
We were only married 2 years when he died 6 days after our 2nd Anniversary..

Webby Note: Fran needs to locate anyone who knew or worked with "Frank".
Contact her email or mine.

I am looking for someone who knew either Robert Dunaway or Paul Ward, both were KIA 22 Aug, 1970 while flying with Troop C, 3/17, this was before the unit designation swap. This would have been around the time that a Major Danielson was the CO. I am particularly interested in who was flying the OH58A, he survived the crash. I have been told that it was a 1st. Lt. but I am not sure the information is accurate. If you have any information or photo's of any of the aircrew please contact me @ Gri5thlee@aol.com.

Mr. Derek Minchey is searching for information regarding his recently deceased father,
 Michael Minchey.
Michael was a member of D Troop for about 4 months in 1971 when the unit was "up north" and called "Charlie Horse". Documents shows Minchey was a "Kamikazi" scout observer/gunner on OH-58As and he was shotdown and DEROSed with injuries on April 15, 1971.
Any information about his tour with Charlie Horse will be greatly appreciated by his family.
Contact Derek at 318-752-1643 or fogman7@msn.com
